A/Prof Sue Whatman (LMACHPER) is the National Vice President of the Board of the Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation (ACHPER) and Associate Professor in Health and Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy at Griffith University Gold Coast.
Sue has an extensive background in health and physical education teacher education (H/PETE), sports coaching pedagogy, and Indigenous education. Sue has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Health Education curriculum from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
As co-leader of EDJEE within the Griffith Institute of Educational Research, with a specific interest and expertise in Bernstein sociology of education, Sue is currently supervising 10 Higher Degree Research students (PhD and Masters), and is a Senior Fellow in the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).
