Megan Maxwell

HPS Committee Member

As CEO of Foodcore, Megan drives initiatives that leverage the power of nutrition to improve wellbeing, strengthen communities, and create healthier food environments. She is committed to increasing access to nutritious food and building the skills and confidence to prepare it for group both big and small, as well as families. 

Megan enjoys the gym and walking her dog for good physical and mental health. She believes staying active means finding the activity or sport that you love, keep it simple and it will be sustainable.

Megan commenced her career with Foodcore in 2006 as a Project Officer and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2014, recognised for her strong leadership and ability to engage with stakeholders across health, education, and food sectors. She is an emerging researcher and an active member of several state and national steering committees, contributing to public health strategy and nutrition education. Megan also provides expert consultation to government departments, other NGO’s and leading universities. She is committed to developing evidence-based initiatives that deliver measurable impact and create healthier communities.
